Reluctantly thinking of switching to a PM role so i could focus all my code-fu to my side projects!!

what do u guys think? i know most of us hate PMs, but they do get paid more for what i think is less work (mental focus wise).

They get paid more? Doubt it. Also, you'll have less overall time.
As a dev, if you need time, you automate: "There's a tool for that." (or build your own)

As a PM, if you need time, tough. Every team-lead, manager, etc from other departments will be stuffing your inbox. You like tracking conversations in email vs JIRA? Not to mention, congratulations, you now own every JIRA for that product.

Automate.

@SharinganUchiha in my current company, they do get paid a bit more and is seen as kind of in a higher position than devs.

And, you mean to say i cannot automate PM stuff? is that a challenge? 😃 jk
