I'm thinking about placing my menu button at the bottom instead of top right since the phones have become essentially larger than our hands. What do you guys think?

You should use as given in the material guideline.
Bottom navigation bars are now a thing in Android as Google introduced for material guideline!

@elonmusk This is webdesign. I'm creating my own webpage (so I can do whatever) and I think the navigation of the webpage should happen at the bottom, at least for larger mobile devices in portrait mode. Although, one drawback is the presence of the Android navbar.

I'd give it a try
And ask for feedback
And then if it isn't liked, move it to the top

Material design guidelines apply also to Webdesign to some extent

I think it's a good idea. Please don't forget about lefties though!
