Don't feel like a genius high school student anymore :(
23 in math isn't going to get me into the best programming course.
:( Goodbye CMU aspirations

Grades are a representation of how you performed *on the day* and provide only a snapshot of your potential.

Keep at it. The more you try, the better you'll get and the more likely that the next time this opportunity comes round, you'll crush it.

The secret to having good ideas is having lots of ideas. The secret to success is repeated, frustrating failures. Stay strong!

Doesnt matter what programming course you goes to. As long as you become a programmer (if that is what you want) thats all that matter

an ACT score just shows what classes you start of in I had an 19 overall with a 13 in english, 23 in math, 25 in science, and 19 in reading or something like that I did that in 2008. got to college and knew programing better than my computer science professors. point being here that test just gives the college a ground work in what basic classes you need to start in

It's a minor bump in the road. Just stay focused and do not let anything or anyone stop you!

Can you look at a problem, break it down into simple steps and find a solution for each step? Then link the steps to have an overall solution? If so, then you can be a programmer, it's just a matter of learning the syntax of a particular language. Don't be too hard on yourself. Bear in mind you're unlikely to be doing this completely on your own, either.
