Do you ever just sit unable to start, hating yourself for it?

Ugh, I feel like I've been running on autopilot lately. I just can't get myself going. Down time doesn't feel like down time either

@Nanos everything lol. I spent the whole day yesterday not really knowing where to pick up with the same issue I was working on on Friday

Can relate. You can almost sense that it's not burnout. But you don't want to work either.

I guess the repetitive nature of the job gets to your nerves. You start to think - What's the point of solving this ticket. Tomorrow I'll get another and it'll keep going that way until I die.

I usually motivate myself by thinking how bad it would be if I got fired tomorrow. That does it.

@Sid2006 exactly - in exception of the getting fired part

Yes. Every day. All my life. Not all things, but too many. Basically everything I don't have intrinsic motivation for. Plus when I don't know where to start and am overwhelmed. Plus things I am anxious about doing wrong or subpar. Then, when I should relax/sleep/enjoy, the shame and guilt and lack of achievement creep up.

    Music helps. A lot.

@Sid2006 Pretty much. Although I feel like it could be burn out but I have no right for it to be?
