@234pctCpuUsage well I don't know anything about that, I just switched from Windows a month ago. Its very light and clean. And I have not faced any issues yet except that I had kernel panic because my HDD is dead 😛

If you have older/exotic hardware and don't want to spend the time searching for drivers etc. I'd recommend Ubuntu.
Otherwise, Debian all the way.
*edit:* The difference being that Ubuntu includes more unfree (= proprietary) package sources post default. -
@theCalcaholic I already installed debian. It's really stable I must say. Until now, no fix has been needed except for installing propietary drivers. Now I want to make it look cooler. Don't know how though.

@gitcommit In that case: Congrats! :)
You might want to compare some of the available desktop managers. On Linux you can completely exchange the Systems' look & feel.
Some options (suitable for a quick Google images search) are :
- Gnome (probably what you have by default)
- KDE (the second biggest DM, if I'm not mistaken)
- XFCE (A bit simpler, but also very popular, especially on weaker machines)
- Cinnamon (I especially like it's Themes and theme support)
- i3 (A tiling window manager. Has a steep learning curve but I heard it plays off eventually - I didn't invest too much time into learning it myself yet) -
@theCalcaholic I installed xfce first but I'm considering cinnamon and i3. I'm probably going to install cinnamon and try to learn i3 on a virtual machine. Thanks for the quick round-up😊
What's the most stable distro/flavour I could use? After working with neon KDE for a bit and havin to fix stuff, from grub to system drivers, I just don't have much time left for actual coding in my spare time. Should a I just go for Ubuntu?
