I don't understand 'flex' work spots, meaning you choose a different place to sit every day at work. I am a tiny person and most of the people I will work with are giant dutch guys. I need a low ass desk and chair so I can actually see my screen and touch the fucking floor. Let me have my spot, thank you.

    A combination is nice. I have my own spot, others may use it freely while I'm not there as long as they don't mess with my desk & chair too much.

    And then there's a whole bunch of generic standing & sitting spots, ranging from bar seats and couches to balcony chairs and beanbags, which you can just drop down with a laptop.

    @bittersweet That sounds alright yea.

    @karma My back is too bad to stand up all day.

    @marthulu Lately my balance is:

    60% standing desk + laptop, 3 monitors and mechanical keyboard for productive coding.

    40% slouching in a beanbag in a semi-dark isolated space, with just laptop in my lap, chill music and a bucket of blueberries, doing code reviews and writing documentation.

    Office life is super unhealthy. You have to claim the furniture, space & workflow to make yourself comfortable, happy & productive.
