¿Does it really takes that long to merge a branch when there is a conflict?

My "PM" takes like 20 minutes to fucking merge a branch that has a few lines of conflict... and I fucking hate to wait so long to continue on a ticket where I need previous work... I'm a JR full stack developer and I'm new to devRant... It was love at first sight.
