When all you want to do is spend your day at the office writing code and people interrupt you every 5 minutes for the most mundane things!

Sorry pal, I got a mate at work who is called rich aka rikapedia. A fountain of knowledge and I to feel I and others ask him questions and bother him every 5 mins. But the man is a gent and always gives you time. I am a better developer because of this and I owe him a lot. So I under stand your rant but from the other side thank you!

You know, first I was going to rant 'headphones' but then I read @jslater255 and it reminded me I was the goto (sorry) guy at my last job for 14 years. When I left one of my division managers wrote the most amazing thank you / reference letter for my patience, knowledge etc.
I used that letter in every final interview and I feel it was instrumental in helping me secure my next job.
So maybe think of those answers you are providing as social capital and helping someone.
