Problem solving skills in the virtual space do translate to some degree to the physical space. You are used to figuring complex relationships. If you work with your hands to build things those skills will apply. Is it 1:1? No, but skills between disciplines vary in application anyway.

There's a lot of tech out there that certainly doesn't have this problem.
