XCode.........pffft....... more like

Xcuse-me-while-I-hang-myself-while-you-Code

Or more like

Xcuse-me-while-I-crash-myself-while-you-Code

Or

Xcuse-me-while-I-make-you-angry-enough-to-throw-the-fucking-iMac-out-of-the-goddamn-window-while-you-Code

Like WTF, I got reassigned to iOS development after a year being in web development and was genuinely excited to work in swift again. The excitement quickly faded away, seeing the goddamn IDE struggle to compile or run. I dont remember facing these issues in version 7 or 8. FML ;-;

    @legionfrontier it is, but xcode is not the end all be all of development on macs :) most of us use it for web development in which the tools have 0 to no difference from what some of us are used to on a Linux environment. Still, xcode is universally famous for being a gigantic piece of shit and the cocoa api for being weird af:

    I'm curious. How do you throw your iMac out the window while you code?

    The only use I've ever had for xcode has been the fact that it's a dependency for xquartz. I do all my development on a Mac in iterm, ssh, tmux, vim, and git.
