Guys that list 10+ programming languages that are in their skill sets are my favorite. Do you actually know all of them?
It's like saying you're fluent in Spanish, Arabic, English, Hindu, Mandarin, etc.

People tend to think that it'll make them seem smarter, or more professional to put every language with whose syntax they are familiar. It's like: Okay, I made 'hello world' app in ruby, time to add it to resume

depends on how long they been around. if they been around less than 5 years then no way in hell they know 10 languages, but generally if you learn 3 different languages it rolls over to others

Fluent in all but 1 of mine.
The other 1 I can do if my life was to depend on it 😂

And yes a lot of people will add a language if they can do a quick hello world, i prefer at least an intermediate level of knowledge before adding it.

If you can’t do a project start to finish in the language, don’t add it.

I am fluent in a lot of languages. I don't list them all because some I haven't touched in a few years so I'd need a day or two to get back into, and others I don't want to ever touch again.

Also, I was once invited to a friend's family dinner with his extended family, who all speak different languages. There was no single language we all spoke, but we all could communicate with each other. One of the uncles spoke 9 different languages fluently.

If besides PHP and JavaScript; HTML and CSS and does count as programming language, then I know four languages Hindi, English, Hinglish, and Indian.
