byte32817y@Torbuntu I personally love VS Code
Atom is a bit sluggish and start-up time is worse the VSC (on my setup atleast)
And with the keymapping, language plugins, git integration and inbuilt terminal, I don't think m I'm gonna change anytime soon -
byte32817y@Torbuntu I've got 16 gigs as well,
but atom takes too long.
Its improved in the recent updates but when compared to VSC feature by feature it still has a long way to go
The new 'ide' plugins are bridging the gap very slowly -
byte32817y@Torbuntu its not waaay slooow like android studio on 4gig (it this helps)
Just not my goto editor
I still use it for simple web dev (HTML, CSS mostly), but the inbuilt terminal has me hooked on VSC
And plugins like CodeRunner make things way easier to test

Introduced my friend to VSCode. He was skeptical about switching from Sublime to Code but he decided to try it out anyway.
Guess what's his favourite editor now 😂
