Has anyone used NoMachine before? I'm playing around with it now and wonder why I've never heard of it

What is their license? Probably there is some catch right? A client of ours asked to connect to their server with team viewer so I tell them we don't have a licence to use it. They said oh it's free software just download it. My colleague says I am just being difficult but the download page clearly says free for personal use so I refuse to download it.

hey! NoMachine is free to use if you're using it for personal stuff, also at work and uni.

I once used it in an internship at a university, really loved it for being blazing fast in comparison to vnc. There are actually a few open source clients Out there using the same protocol (NX) but I haven't tested any so far.

@NoMachine omg you're a thing. Why do you use UDP instead of TCP?

@Rudi9719 we don’t use UDP instead of TCP, we actually use both.

UDP for multimedia data and TCP for everything else.

If UDP communication cannot be established we fail back to TCP also for multimedia. And UDP can be disabled during session configuration to use TCP instead.

@NoMachine is there a way to fix the stretching issue on iPad Pro 12?

@Rudi Match the client resolution upon connecting in the Display settings (in connection menu). Have you tried that?
