I hate devRant. Since morning I am suffering from diarrhoea and vomiting. My stomach aches bad and I have a complete bed rest. I had nothing good to do, so I went through the play store searching for new apps. I came across devRant which seem interesting to me. I downloaded and went through the app. I read posts straight for four hours and couldn't resist LMAO. I've been constantly laughing (literally constantly) and now my stomach aches so bad. Its 22:00 and I fear I might have to catch a doctor soon. I know devRant is the culprit and yet I have it open, in my phone, typing a useless non-humorous post. Freaking addictive. Ah my stomach..

@srugan7 Welcome to devRant! We're seeing a nice uptick in Android installs today, so I'm curious: how exactly you discovered us from the Play Store? Was it a search or a featured section somewhere? Thanks!

@trogus I installed the other day. I'm not sure if Google play changed algos but it was a recommended app for me.

I've got Dropbox, reddit hacker news, Authenticator so a fairly geeky collection of apps if that helps spot any patterns.

@trogus: bro you spelled my name wrong. lol Nevermind.
well I usually download apps that help me for my Android development. So it often suggest me dev related apps. Today I just got urs on the suggestion list.
Should I be frank with you? Your logo wasnt too attractive to me like woo-let-me-check-that-app-out, I'd have just skipped your app but dont know why I just felt like checking and here I am!

@srujan7 Thanks, I appreciate the feedback. We must have past some threshold for the play store to start including us on recommendation lists. The logo is kind of random, but we have fun with it :)

@trogus I did some research about how to get into recommendation list when I pushed my own app on the play store. Well it depends on, people who use apps that are similar to yours, and your app is doing well in that category (downloads + ratings) then it shows your app to the users.
