    I had to get exactly this for school. I never used it much.
    A NodeMCU is a lot nicer. It can connect to / crash clients on / be (multiple) WiFi-Network(s) as well as an Http or Telnet-Server/Client.

    The Hello World equivalent of electronics is lighting an LED. Maybe start with that if you're new.

    Another tip, if you are completely new, check out the examples that cone with the IDE. Those are pretty cool too.

    A biped Bob is a great project to start dealing with servos and ultrasonic sensors if you are still looking for an interesting projects :) Still trying to find time to finish mine using a nano.
