So basically a whitelabel dev company? They act as if they made the stuff but are reselling other one stuff? I didnt know of them so far but wouldnt be suprised if there was many of them as whitelabel commerce is a well know and pratice method do today
-
There is always the possibility that they're clueless but maybe they do desktop development, system administration or database stuff? Or maybe they don't have enough time/employees so they outsource it.

@jsframework9000 @g-m-f Couldn't they contract someone and keep it on the down low that it was contract work? Maybe a bonus to stay anonymous? 🤷
I could just be very judgemental idk. I'm a pretty tough customer because I'm cheap asf. 😂😂 -
korec2877yI dont think making their own site matters as long as the sites they make are really well done. maybe they dont have time for their own because they are working on other projects? does that make sense?
-
@korec Kind of. But to that, I say this.
Chances are they didn't have clients before their website was made. Going out and marketing without a website is sloppy and unprofessional. Could they not dedicate time to their website before taking on clients? If it's nothing but a few days with a one page site? Then just gradually keep upgrading it? 🤷 -
@g-m-f That's true. 🤷 Whatever gets the job done, I guess. Maybe when I get real world experience, then I'll see it with a new light.

korec2877y@jhh2450 okay heres the thing, I was working for a design agency, and their main thing was print. Then they fot more and more clients asking for websites, so they started hiring developers, but we didnt have time to work on our own site for ages.

spacem18367yWell there is a difference. At my work and my previous work we develop web apps not web sites. Both places got a design company in who build something in a cms for our website. I am glad since I don't have to maintain that stuff.
Does anyone else lose respect for IT or programming companies that use OTHER companies to make their websites?
You mean to tell me, you want me to hire you to make a website, when you can't even make your own? Not happening.
