Nah, they just shifted to online marketing. Marketing agencies, SEO agencies, email marketing agencies and what have you. It just got re-branded that's all.

@usr--2ndry in the USA they passed a law that required telemarketer companies to maintain a don't call list. People would get called and you would tell them to add you to the list. Eventually they made the list national and once you were on the list no companies could call you. This pretty much killed telemarketing. Not sure about other countries.
