HW issue causing blue screens? Windows' fault.
Driver bug? Windows' fault.
A program crashing? Windows' fault.
"Forced" updates you could've turned off? Windows' fault.
You have no common sense? Windows' fault.
Your girlfriend leaving you? Windows' fault.

Let's blame Windows because I got nothing else to blame.

    (P.S.: I use both, Linux Mint and Windows.)

    And I used to be a die hard windows fan boy until I got tired of all the shit. So yes, windows does have problems

    @ScribeOfGoD Yes, Windows does have issues, but I've seen so much shit that people blame on Windows right here on devRant which simply isn't Windows' fault.

    Leave Windows alone!!

    In case of doubt, blame windows

    I have never seen a program wrote by me misbehave because of Windows itself.

    I don't know how people manage to suck at using Windows, it's like they're asking for it to be able to blame on it.

    The problem is often between the chair and the keyboard.

    In the last 2 weeks I've seen more rants like this than actual rants of people complaining about Windows. This is like the third day in a row I've seen a rant almost identical to this.

    We all know not every issue is caused by Windows itself. Doesn't change the fact it's a shit OS (And my daily driver is a Surface Pro 4)

    Leave me alone!!!

    @Windows no, quit being shit

    @sslPoodle if we didn't have windows we wouldn't have linux
  • 0
    agree with you, even though the last update made me lose all my data
  • 0
    @sslPoodle let's put it this way, why do we have linux?
  • 2
    @calmyourtities Always backup, the same can happen on Linux. It happened to me there anyway.

    @filthyranter @ScribeOfGoD Honestly i've used all and there are some serious issues with all !
  • 2
    The girlfriend part is windows fault. The OS she told you not to worry about.

    @filthyranter didn't have anything to backup to, probably should've bought that instead of some other hardware, although at the time it happened I kept the majority of my stuff on a flash drive thank jesus

    1. This shouldn't cause a blue screen.
    2. ^^
    3. Can be either
    4. I've seen those updates somehow overriding that with my own eyes.
    5. Not going to argue that one
    6. I don't have a gf 😭

    @linuxxx *1. When my RAM died and threw memory errors everywhere, I got a BSOD, so yes it does
  • 0
    @filthyranter I was referring to any type of hardware failure. I mean I've seen one of my own laptops bsod because of a WiFi issue while I didn't even need the wifi

    @linuxxx Shitty driver :)
  • 0
    @filthyranter Oh yeah agreed but my point is that a system shouldn't be able to entirely crash due to a simple shitty driver :)
  • 0
    @linuxxx Well, guess what happened to me on both kernels, Windows NT and Linux.
  • 0
    @filthyranter Fair enough :). I've had it a few times on windows but Linux stays stable for me :P

    because of many rants here I'm afraid to update to Fall creators update, I keep on terminating update process in task manager just to be sure I don't lose shit on my laptop :\

    @gitpush I updated fine so ¯\_( ツ)_/¯

    @filthyranter I'm gonna wait a while before I do that lol just to be safe
