meretan11357y@jpat82792 what I forgot to say is that I am currently working in a startup as a developer. It's hard, but I absolutely love the job.

meretan11357y@CWins I have no idea... that's what I'm worried about the most. They respect my dad, but for me I have no idea

CWins48117yYou can still join your dad's business after some years somewhere else. Then you will haven proven, that you got the skill to make it somewhere else, without family bonus.

I respect the guts that it takes to question a high paying job that is being given to you. If you like the idea of getting more experience then you are good! At the same time. If you know that you require more experience and you are willing to listen and learn from those working with and for you then by all means take the position and learn with it. That itself will give you an edge.

I have a hard desicion to make and I don't know how to choose...
I'll graduate tech uni in a year. I want to work in a start up when I am done. A few days ago my father offered me a position in his company as CTO. Despite the fact that I have ZERO management experience. I'll have to work for him for roughly ten years, then he wants to quit. Do I take the high paying job that I might not enjoy or do I try my luck with a startup/ software company...
