I'm seriously beginning to hate when blog platforms (like WordPress), are being used as a God damn CMS with thousands of plugins, e-commerce and stuff like that.. I couldn't care less what someone else is using, but when I HAVE TO WORK WITH THAT, then just one big God damn finger to whoever thinks this is the best way. Fuck you and your belief that this kind of stuff is awesome, easy to work with, and with no bugs.

So then what’s your favorite CMS? I hate WordPress too. Mainly because all the job offers I get from clients for it have a budget of like $50 and they expect me to build the next ESPN.com off of it

Man.. Just build your own shit, thats what i ended up doing.

They will never use all the functions and features wordpress has to offer anyway. It will end with them using about 2-3 different forms and thats it.

Besides, its much more satisfying to build your own shit. Also, you get to charge them more for "customized tailored based CMS" with their shitty logo on the top and whatnot.

If you are a PHP dev then you have plenty of good MVC* frameworks to choose from. Build a nice CMS template and use it for future customers as well.

@bioDan Exactly what I think. I'm a front end developer, currently learning php because of work and getting more into backend.
