so, about a month ago I signed a contract with a company for three months of work. they've asked for 40 man hours a week, and required that I be in the office. today, they let me go because my "skills were not up to their expectations" and, "there wasn't enough work,".

If there was not enough work why did they hire you for 3 months and then realize it 😞

@Jumpshot44 they had a lot of development work, but they overestimated my skills (and the president of the company admitted that) and I couldn't do any of what they asked, because the work they were assigning me (an entry level developer with 6 six years of self taught and college learning) was beyond my level, and was bordering senior level work

When I entered, the asked me to learn a brand new cms, knockout.js, and .NET. On top of this all, they also asked me to style all of their front end work, whilst learning what they asked of me. I asked them, out of pure curiosity, if they minded if I learned outside of work, and they told me not to worry about because they would teach me. it never happened.
