YouTube is trying hard to shove their video suggestions into my face.

Video suggestions are on the watch page, inside the video player after playback, and even inside the embedded video player when paused.

Sorry, YouTube, I am not interested in your suggestions before I have even finished watching the current video!

i dont even get mad at youtube anymore. i just use revanced and let them suffer the cost.

I can't even find things on YouTube anymore because it's too busy suggesting things to me

I love how I got bell notifications for videos I apparently cannot watch due to copyright. Hope they collapse as a company promptly. What a joke.

@jestdotty While YouTube is evil, it isn't actually responsible for the completely fucked-up copyright situation. While a lot of people think that Google makes the law, that isn't actually the case.

Then again, google has considerable lobbying power. They generally don’t care about copyright law though, just anti-spying (and anti-woke) legislation.

You really think anything needs to "try", especially hard, to manipulate nowadays? There's literally a recognised profession of "influencer"... despite how on target the name is, people still openly admit to following these people. I briefly had an employee that was trying to qualify watching "slice of life" bs as valid studying english... despite the influencers not being anywhere near native english... the content in those is like pooring acid on your brain. I literally couldnt watch one for beyond 2 minutes... and have zero clue why anyone would ever want to... but the views are millions.

@Root They actually tried to use their lobbying power against copyright laws a lot. They just failed hard and adapted to the situation. Google might be big, but the media MAFIAA is still bigger.

@aviophille IP laws are there for individuals too... ny grandfather is an inventor and i have a small stash of IP as well.
