I want but i can't because of backwards compatibility and no proper gulp implementations of babel
Why? Because they don't let me implement it... -
Loops and ifs, I.e. "checks" will be incredibly useless cause everything should be equal
-
@DanijelH maybe there isn't even the need for a framework
Just sayin' -
Using Linux each day keeps the bluescreen away.
-
I feel your pain. Currently I'm able to write vanilla, that control feels awesome. I already fear the time I have to apply in another company sometime in the future, when I maybe can't write vanilla Js anymore and have to commit to those frameworks...
-
@lucaspar as a js Dev, I totally agree, just wanted to push the meme
-
That's surprising, thought it would be javascript
-
NaN would be pretty interesting as a result to be honest
-
It can. And it will. It did so on my fathers laptop.
Spent to days trying to repair it. No chance. I complete destroyed the new and the old windows version. No chance for rescue... -
Thank you very much! It's awesome to read such a positive post about Javascript. Makes me really happy!
You made my day, thanks. -
There you have it. Java and JavaScript are totally the same!
*sarcasm off* -
That's our superpower.
-
The programming final test in my school education (before I started my apprenticeship) was exactly the same. It was unbelievably stupid. Syntax errors have been punished very hard. Such dick heads.

Oh. My. God. This thing is horrible. But I saw worse. My girlfriend works in a Callcenter and finds shitty websites pretty regularly. Funny, how bad some of them are. An Asian restaurant seemed to advertise their employees as prostitutes. It was hilarious!
-
I can only say: get your types right and stop doing stupid shit.
I mean...
"foo" + + "foo"
What are you even trying to achieve? Trying to cast a string containing only letters into a number and expecting a valid output is stupid. -
Happens to me pretty often. Sometimes it's funny, but most of the time it's just plain annoying.
I started to tell them to speak to each other when one of them gives me conflicting instructions. -
I find it very worrying, how small effort the average young person (>= 18) wants to put into something to succeed...
From nothing comes nothing. -
Oh man, thanks for posting this! Those short cartoons are awesome!
-
Meta rant =)
-
Even though I'm writing JS every workday for many hours, I don't really understand your complaint. What do you exactly mean by "different versions"?
-
Progressive Metal, Punk, Death Metal and sometimes Indie. Heavily depends on my mood and what I have been disturbed by the last time.
-
It has it's weird parts as every language has.
-
I even write it like that 90% of the time.
-
Oh
Visual Studio in the Tags. That must be it. Its always visual studio what fucks up everything. -
As long as devs will rip js out of their natural environment (ie Webbrowsers) devs will hate the hell out of it.
JS is best in doing stuff with markup in webbrowsers. When doing such stuff, it's pretty good imo -
I had the same problem with my aunts laptop. I was so confused when I saw, that I couldn't see files in it because I had no rights to read.
Solved it by unmounting the partition.
No complaints since then. -
And here I am writing my beloved vanilla js, using gulp only to minify and uglify and make it work without the hellish overload.

@LastDigitOfPi Over the time of 4 years or working with JQuery and all these JQuery plug-ins, I realized it's not really required anymore.
JQuery has a massive amount of overhead nobody uses or needs.
And many plug-ins are just shit to be honest.
