@jestdotty well I'm staring at a wall of text that I am really fucking sure can be less wordy for some C networking code. I'm just frustrated cause half of it I know from other languages but some I don't that's C specific so I'm caught in this line of I feel like I have to read it but it ends up for the most part being shit I already know and they're taking forever just to show me what I'm there for.

Python is what I've used, but I've heard Go is nice for backend. I've been experimenting with the language I want to try to see what some web apps would be like with it.

@thebiochemic I don't run that many, I usually use the remote ssh extension and the python/c# extensions but currently I'm only using the C#/Go on my Pop install since those are what I'm working with atm.

But my main issue is just arguing with my editor so frequently I'm hoping I don't have to do it as much on nvim and it's more arguing in the beginning.

@ForeverJunior yeah all I've learned I have learned because I did things on my own, looked things up online or in a book, or had someone else help me with it. I've never had to take a college software course.

@red-knot oh fair enough, yeah I just find that we have so many resources available to us some free, some not free but reasonable with price and most of it comes from experience, playing around/making something, messing up, and debugging. Books, videos, and docs just give you a bigger pool of information to help guide you.

Also for now I'm just trying to focus on understanding C more I just don't know what to look at or what projects to make. I thought about an interpreter or compiler of some kind but I don't know what I should try to do but I'd want it to be challenging.
