I use youtube-dl to get my music, and whatever internet site has them for lyrics. azlyrics is usually my go-to because no bloat and good quality lyrics. Bonus points if the youTube video has lyrics I can download instead so I don't have to sync them manually

Does your provider support SMS over WiFi-Calling?
-
I wouldn't say recent office versions start slowly, but they sure are bloated and have a load of other issues
-
Sounds like that policy isn't working as intended. I don't see how making everyone use a different/homebrew password manager is going to increase security…
Cool side project tho -

Signal has been my SMS app for more than half a year now, but none of my contacts use it. The last Signal message I sent was 1.5 months ago –.–

Imagine living in Monaco. Do you just enter the same thing for Country, Province and City?

@TestInProd423 and animations that are laggy as hell when scrolling fast, generally annoying and break stuff. Like if I scroll more than half a page at once in a recent Visio or Excel the screen freezes for ⅓ of a second. Who needs this?

But wouldn't you include the thumb when counting in binary with your fingers?

I don't pretend to know much about this, but in case this helps with the emoji width problem and you haven't found something equivalent yet:

Things I immediately change from a thunderbird default config:
1. Vertically split mail preview
2. Sort descending by date
3. Enable the quick filter toolbar (Did I remember correctly that it's not visible by default? Seems kinda weird) -
That's nothing. My new tab page (tab.gladly.io) ranks 8 on mobile (but 69 on desktop)

@justamuslimguy Settings > Search > Display Search Engines
Just enable that and they're displayed before you start typing -
@iiii Probably one of these three:
1) Huawei fucked things up
2) It can't handle disabled animations
3) It hasn't been tested at my screen resolution/aspect ratio -
@deadlyRants
Hahaha yes, but my experience was a bit different. I updated it, saw the prompt saying you can have it at the bottom, thought 'nice' and turned it on. So far, so good.
But then I tapped the URL bar, and voila, it was at the top again. Sort of threw me off, disabled it again. I think I'll give it another try though, since the new tab menu makes a lot more sense then. And would you look at that, the long-press menu for it is now in the right place too! -
Fuck pcgamer for their autoplaying video THAT YOU CAN'T EVEN PAUSE. I'm on mobile data ffs and these 3GB have to last me a month you inconsiderate, greedy cunts -`д´-

Sure beats my phonebook
-
@JhonDoe No, but I'm planning to buy the SSD together with a motherboard/processor/ram upgrade because that's probably bottlenecking my GTX 1070, so I want to save up a bit for that.

One day when I'm rich, I too will escape from the realm of double-digit read/write speeds and be untethered from the bottleneck that is my WD Green 1TB drive (-_-。)

I use vim in termux. Keybindings aren't optimal for phones but I haven't bothered looking for anything better. And I doubt you can find anything with as many features on the play store, let alone for free and without ads.

@jespersh that's what I thought but I barely understand what I'm doing.
Took me a quite a while to figure out the commands to do what I want. I don't think there should be more than copies in memory at one time. -
Update: Network debugging is as easy as pie. I can now wirelessly remote control my unrooted phone with github.com/oberien/adb-remote-control from linux (Nevermind the 1fps and no downsampling). And adb screencap -p | display png:- works too!
-
@SortOfTested
Don't have cygwin, I have a linux VM (not wsl because wsl broke, I set up the VM and now that wsl2 is out I'm too lazy to migrate back) but USB debugging requires adb to run on the host so... (If only Hyper-V had USB passthrough like VirtualBox)
Tried git bash, no luck there, and I'm pretty sure the fault lies within adb itself anyways. I tried
ssh me@windows "adb shell screencap -p" > screenshot.png
from linux and the png still comes out invalid.
Maybe debugging over the network and running adb in linux could work? No Idea how to set that up tho -

@melezorus34 I don't know, maybe? Replacing the
if (config.getKey("purchased").equals("Y")) {
showDarkModeOption();
}
with an
if(true) {…}
is 10-20 times faster than understanding how in-app purchases work though. -
Wow much envy.
I live in Berlin. Current plan is 26.5/1.1Mbit for 30-35€/mo. Thinking about switching to a different provider advertising 50/10 for the same price, but the minimum upload speed on that contract is a measly 0.7 or so. I did see my current ISP has a 50/50 plan for new customers (=not a customer for the past 3 months) so ISP-hopping might be a strategy.
