It's all running on my dl380 g7 on a VM on win2016. It's just so much easier to to the upgrades then having to deal with installers and apps that only run when a user is logged on to the desktop of the server
-
There was actually updates via the games for the firmware
-
Change your DNS to something like 8.8.8.8.
But Telstra are arssholes with DNS blocks and fails -
@Rohr I run a docker host with my mail, caddy proxy, docker host with a hole bunch of stuff
-
@FrodoSwaggins I want from a dul 3ghz CPU dl380 g5 at 300w to single slower clocked g6 at 150w that still beats the pants of the g5. And having Plex go to using 70% on a 1080p stream to 30% and now maybe 5% on my g7
-
If it's a g5 series don't bother using it. There really power inefficient
-
@Prk123 sadly it's a internal 10.0.0.0 so no outside shenanigans
-
The one near me has a rdp connection for the order display with the IPshowing as well
-
yep i did some thing like that on monday. I deleted a vlan for one of our labs by accident from our brocade switch

@scrapes that's the lowest they go on power saving mode. I think there actually 2.somthing GHz that will boost to 3.4ghz. mind you it runs me firewall. 4 docker hosts. a mail server. And my Plex server
-
@scrapes the only down side is that I have gone from 300w to 150w to 300w with my upgrades. Tho from a twin CPU 3ghz g5 my g6 had way more processing power. But now the power of the g7 I never get of 11% CPU @ 1.5ghz
-
@scrapes sad thing is my g7 is quite a big noisier then my g6 but it had only a single CPUat 2.2ghz
-
It has 32 GB ram. 2 15k disks 6 10k and 8 7.2k disks. And twin 8 core cpus
-
I has a nice dl380 g7 in my rack
-
Spiceworks
Can do that anyway -
A Mac these days is just the same guts as a windows PC in a nice shell and your paying at least $500-$1000 more for the same specs vs a windows pc
-
If your a windows sysadmin PowerShell is a must with c# thrown in as well
-
@olback then that account was created by the sysadmins for central enterprise control. You still use the usual Google login pages. If the sysadmins are using the Google sync tool it will auto create your account as it is in AD and also sync your password so it's the same as the desktop login.
-
@olback but is the domain in the emails your school's or @gmail.com?
-
You did sign the paperwork to use the schools computers a account creation is a part of it. Google or Microsoft. With my school we actually have both that get synced from AD and license office via o365 with Gmail and all the nice Google things. For stuff like oauth not all company's support one or the other. Some don't even know what oauth is.
-
If the accounts have a @yoursxhoolsdomain.edu then that's a enterprise system and different from just public accounts
-
@esavier got it here http://ebay.com/itm/201630093942/
-
@klopango yep that to. Dam my job has made me put on 30 kg
-
@klopango That is my current look
-
@ParkCity it's a lovely 29.7 formatted then up to 20gb for windows and then office and then what other crap the students put on it. But then again it's a bottom feeder laptop. Compared to my elite books 840 g3
-
This is what us sysadmins do
-
I usually see them with a 32gb SSD that so slow. But it's a $250AU machine at the point
-
That looks like a hp stream. The cheap ones have enclosed flash chips on the mainbord
-
Wait a second. Is that coles in Aus
