Programming for 5 years (I'm 22 now) specialised in android for the last year, previous to that I dabbled in some VB and then learned the core programming concepts in uni with Java and c#

It's a shame I didn't take a before picture to show the state of the wood before treatment, trust me it wasn't good! It was covered in what looked like black motor oil, the legs were bought on eBay from a blacksmith for anyone wondering, all in it cost me around £70 with the wood, legs, oil (for treatment) and the sand paper

Thank you for the comments, I've already been asked to make another one for a dining room table 😂😂

Look at programming interview questions and learn to code those, things like the fizz buzz problem is a really basic one but good to know, then just build on it from there, learn swing and database connections, Java applet making too

I'm a mobile dev so it's really easy to pretend you're testing something when actually you're just playing on your phone

@kwilliams I don't have the luxury of dynamically typed variables :(

Marshmallow went live a year ago and only 10% of users have it installed
-
@bobotay that sounds cool! Hit me up if you get any ideas/want any ideas
-
@dev0urer you should! All in it has cost me £60 (GBP) including the legs! Today's job consisted of getting the wood ready for treatment, I rough sanded all of the pieces to remove the majority of crap all over the wood, then I medium sanded it to take off any sharp edges and splinters, then i fine sanded it to remove any deep scratches left by the rough sand, just a light hand sand left then it can treated and put together!
-
@Jumpshot44 I will do! Should be finished early next week once the wood has been treated and cured
-
I used to be the first one, now I use the second purely because intelli j does it for me

@uuppi what is this sorcery?!

@gustash true, I do a lot of work with the actual hardware on the device, NFC, camera etc I suppose for basic testing its good and like you said for older APIs and screen sizes too, I haven't used it since studio 1.2, but I will give it another go on your recommendation!
-
@LMestre14 it's not great, I'd use genymotion instead if I had to use an emulator, but nothing beats testing on an actual device, I have a nexus 5 for testing on and it works like a dream

@bahamutDEV it genuinely baffles me how the guy is still employed
