@gitlog I am working on the issue you mentionned. Should be fixed soon
-
@Fast-Nop This. That's also why I prefer YYYY/mm/dd.
-
@aritzh
It makes sense because many frameworks requires it to function properly.
Serialization works with properties not fields. WPF binding works with properties not fields. These are the two examples that comes to me but must hwve a lot of others. -
@c3ypt1c Yeah, the desks look terrible. Good luck with your exam
-
@vigidis No. I don't blame them. Upgrading is always a risk.
We are currently upgrading across several hundreds of dev and several CI servers internationally. Checking that every products are still working , and that every pipeline is still building is a lot of work.
I was mainly expressing the fact,
that in this industry, you will not often use the latest tools available. -
For your first point. Unfortunately, get used to it. Many companies, especially the big ones, will not upgrade their tools every years, and you will often be in a situation where your tools are 5 to 10 years behind the last update.
I never had the last release of vs in all the companies I worked for... -
Every class finishing with "Manager" is a code smell. It most of time break the single responsability principle.
Good luck with the project. -
@tecivan You are right. Just rewatched the episode :)

**Birdman appears**

@mebekix Anyway you should not need. Maybe it is related to your provider. I use 中国移动 (China mobile) without problem. Maybe it is blocked on China Unicom or China Telecom
-
Strange. I am in China, and no problem to ++. Did you try with a vpn?
-
I would advise you to prepare a cv according to the position you apply for. If you apply for a C# position, I would not mention you know about Delphi or html. It is all about what the prospective employer care about

C# in depth is the best. Written by master Jon Skeet

I do Estimate * 3

Never ignore warnings. They are here for a reason. What kind of teacher say that...
-
Starred :)
-
@Jilano is right. It is the correct pronunciation in French too.
-
What i do is to break what I need to do in smaller and smaller tasks. Until one task takes no more than few hours. At this point I can pick a few task everyday and have a sense of achievement everyday. That's how I keep motivated
-
@Lythenas. It must be Viasfora plugin.
-
As @Andrian said, it seems a perfect case for Dijkstra's algorithm.
-
@Daveloper. At least for C# yes. The GUI would not be done in C# but in xaml ( in WPF for desktop applications)
-
Talking about privacy, spy agencies, and governments. This link is not accessible from China without VPN :/
-
@magicMirror I love np++, have most of sublime features and is free. The main problem is that you can only use it on windows.
-
I've been working in China for few years. Variable and method names are always written in english, although comments are sometimes in chinese.
-
It's a marathon. Not a sprint.

What bother me most is that your manager had to wait 6 month before thinking about checking what this contractor produced.
