@SukMikeHok
The physical attributes are caused by the continuous pressure/workload or whatever you want to call it, and it does take a toll.
The lawsuits will come at some point when the competition can't win or starts losing business or a partner feels wronged etc.
The best bits are the satisfaction of being able to pay your employees and the business being able to function without you being around. That's the tricky bit, allowing people to do your work and keeping them happy.
Money isn't the end goal and even becomes more trouble than value, if that statement isn't true I don't think you have grasped the true nature of collaboration and sharing, the true values.
If I've missed something feel free to ask. -
@SukMikeHok hard work, grey hair, stress, lawsuits but somehow we became the industry leader.
If you can take the stress and abuse the results can be rewarding though. (Not talking about money) -
@Fast-Nop 8 or later, so that doesn't quite fly
-
@asgs oracle in general, they fucked up multiple good open source projects.
-
SOS, you should copyright it and open sos.io or something ;)
-
@bittersweet zoals gewoonlijk :)
-
@theNSA jeopardy?
-
@rEaL-jAsE probably no visible ads but some form of tracking I guess....
-
Either should do fine. Make a decision depending on the effort you'd like to spend on maintenance/installation

For what purpouse
-
Thanks for making me laugh :)
But even worse, my actual distro of choice is Gentoo, has been for 11 years orso. -
On the fly gz compression doesn't usually give the result size, e.g. no progress bar (apache has an option to serve precompressed files)
-
@linuxxx sorry, just being a tad sarcastic, a well earned number though!
-
We only need 22 downvotes as of now to remedy that ;)
-
@wholl0p guess just by a missing if theck to not print the 'original' price if there is no discount
-
@Ryhazerus yeah sorry, the main post should be understandable for most though.
-
@sigfried Appie den bosch

@sigfried duurzaam irritant in ieder geval ;)

If you have a spare powersupply and ssd lying about the asrock j5005 is not cheap but reasonably fast, normal x64, x265 support and super power efficient
-
Depends what the predominant requirement is, power consumption, money, size
-
@powerfulparadox agreed that for a cursor \r\n is the appropriate syntax in my opinion (that's why there should be two characters).
However in a document there is *no* guarantee things could be displayable exactly below each other, hence no need for double bytes per line. -
@host127001 do you mean the e1000(e)?
-
@host127001 what ethernet chip? If it works on other distros gentoo should work (might require a kernel module to be loaded)
-
Have been running gentoo for a long time now, it's package management is seriously good, it's just a bit hard to learn.
If you're up for the challange it can be everything you want it to be.
(For me it's the performance gain while enabling extra security and the packages are way more up to date than most distros (if they arent doing it yourself is a breeze compared to debian)). -
@beggarboy yes :)
It's primarily there to cool two hothead hdd's -
@olback lma
On a more serious note, took 20°c off the temperature -
Gentoo

Homegrown, two of the best skills are honed this way.
1 Actually learning how to interpret results
2 Autodidactic skills -
@XYZJR just the default windows uac popup with our name and brand specified.

Why stop at 1?
