It's a wrapper for elemental functionalities, so it covers higher functionality. The difference between some nice libraries providing some nice tools and a framework is, that the framework might take rule over the conventions of the original language.

And if a framework is not supported any longer - you're done - and if a framework has some shitty updates, you also may be screwed.

Beware! It might force you to use maven, cmake or other build-tools - it might bind you to a certain IDE or even may tear your software apart - like to need external xml-configs to be not considered at compiletime, but might error at runtime then - (spring / boot - fuck ya!) - you can really mess up things with framworks. So thanks - my advice - avoid them where you can.

This seems to be a common disease of companies with paranoid customers. The bigger the companies, the more they force to use their standards. If now a big company supports an other big company the possibility is very high, that they also use external IT-services additional to their internal IT-departments. So the snake of tunnels and funny things between grows up to several limbs of bullshit.

The worst I knew were banking-companies or automotive industries like Volkswagen or General Motors. They've separate RSA-SecureIDs for Hotlinestaff and even their own VPN-Software running, which requires very special systemsettings on both sides. Took me several minutes to suppport (if I could reach em at all).

We can't do anything about that. Its annoying every time.

@hell school ... *hehehe* they stopped school here in austria at saturday some years ago. But I wonder how they do it now - we've had schood from 8 to 18 on 3 days a week and the other day only 16 o'clock. Saturday only 8:00 to 12:00.

I guess they skipped 2 hours physical eduaction and now they have every day 8:00 to 18:00 but a free weekend.

PDF-Viruses ? wtf? How should them work anyway? I never heard of that until now. I heard about JPG-bugs in internet explorer or Office-Document-Macros which infiltrate Outlook&Co. But PDF-Viruses ??? Never heard of that. There are billons of billons and billons of viruses, but I swear, never heard of that, tho.
