@antoniomerlin @abhisheksn
Genuinely thanks guys, I think Im gonna take a month off, and rething some stuff, work on some personal projects, and get my selfconfidence back from the dead. At moments like this, Im quite glad devrant exists. -
@asgs
It was a mix of a few smaller things, I feel like they could have given me a chance to redeem myself, but I respect their call. At least they didn't cause any financial problems and paid me fairly -
@PonySlaystation
Thanks. At least they gave some info on why I was fired -
@duckWit @PonySlaystation
Thanks guys. At first I was euphoric, now Im kinda down.
I didnt like it too much, so there is that, but still feels shit to be out of a paycheck. It just wasnt the right fit i guess -
@Karunamon
Im thinking of giving ubuntu its chance to redeem its self before moving to centos. Used ubuntu gnome, what is your reccomendation right now. I heard somewhere that gnome went to shit(im not much of a linux expert, so i might be talking out of my ass) -
@Karunamon
Thanks for this tier of stability!
I guess I want something that won't make me go mad and unsure if something will go off every day, but still useful. I used ubuntu earlier which kind of broke down after about a year of using, the small annoying bugs piled up until I decided to go for manjaro. Fuck manjaro... From the tier list you gave, Im thinking of going for ubuntu again or centOS -
@SukMikeHok nice troll
-
Good thing you didnt deploy it on friday 😀
-
Noob question, is i3 refering to intel chips or?
-
@noms89 What exactly?
-
@Doruk pretty much, but I don't think they will mind too much, the boss seemed chill when I told him.
-
@noms89
I wont do that, health is a priority, I just pointed out at the funny inconvinience -
@simulate
Yeah, thread did go a bit off, but it was kinda nice. And regarding the whole utopia thing, we don't really have any evidence that utopia would even be an ideal surrounding for humans, but from talking to you, I have a feeling that you are falmirial with that as well. Anyways, good thread. -
@simulate
My problem here is that the term liberalism is being completely misused. Liberalism has nothing to do with sjw agenda, its rather the complete opposite. These people are not liberals, ironically they are closer to "fashism". So generally the term liberalism wasnt mentioned nor is it really contextual here. If he was to say that sjws are mentally ill, I think it would be far more on point, even though its insulting people directly(although saying that sjws are mentally ill is a mere observation, not even an insult at this point). That is why I didnt really see it as a joke, but rather as someone really missing the point, as I even said somewhere in the beggining of the thread. -
@mjones44
Not really subjective, contextual is the better term. Your joke here was simply a statement, no twist, no punchline, no nothing. If you were to have a group of friends where you would usually throw jokes around such as "______ is a mental illness", then there would be certain context derived from the previous jokes, and then it would be concidered a joke. This is a somewhat anonymous dev board, so the context is generally dev related, and therefor we can all understand when we see a dev joke, but we would have a hard time understanding jokes from other backgrounds as we have no context.
Don't get me wrong, Im all for full freedom and no censureship, just wanted to put this out there. -
@Teabagging4Life
"Only people with funny noses."
I see where you are going with this 😂 -
@jeeper
Hmm, thanks for the insight.
Still, even if we take what op says in face value, it doesnt seem to be related to age, op even said its because of introversy. And it seems very unlikely that they said what op cited. -
How is it illegal to not hire people you dont like.
-
@kenogo
Not that guy, but Im pretty sure the guy cant express himself or doesn't understand what is liberalism -
@pionell
I personally wouldn't, but I understand what you mean. Probuably a decision of some upper management cunt who will do anything for that 0.001% increase in profit. -
@GyroGearloose
Wow dude, you don't spend all your time on reddit, and you told me to just go to the next post, you are so fucking cool dude.
This is what happens to all the platforms when they grow, people start posting stupid unrelated stuff to get pluses/upvotes. This is devrant and it is used for ranting about dev things. Thats what makes it unique and interesting.
When people ask a tech question here they get told to fuck off, and that it is not stackoverflow, but shitty reposted nonrelevant memes are oaky... -
Irelevant for devrant and reposted from another site.

Same thing with the rubicks cubes, I have no idea what am i even doing anymore, but still works.
-
Hey man, i might be a bit stupid atm, but how do i see this in full quality, imgur version is blurry as well, is it because im on my phone maybe?
-
@Alice
Dont take the previous comment as an attack on you, im just too tired to find a better way to express myself in english at the end there. I hope i got the point thru, freedom of ideas -
@Alice
Well, one can have a stance on homosexuality such that he/she isnt supportive of it. Its mostly a cultural thing i guess, but I think we should respect those stances as well. Im personally indiferent on the question of homosexuality, but generally am for freedom of choice. If you think about it, the freedom of choice is the only valid argument for homosexuality(non the less, a very strong one).
I guess I went too wide with my comments. What I wanted to point out is how its interesting how aggresive you were agains an idea friendly and farmiliar to you, and on the other side you are literally defending lightweight incest and people are having a reasonable discussion with you. -
@Alice
Similar to your difference(comparing you to other cultures above mentioned) in viewing relationships between cousins as a bad thing, some cultures look upon homosexuality as a bad thing. Its a bit unfair to instantly jump on the guys throat -
Its most likely due to them not using .docx format that is standardized for many editors. They generally should do that anyways, as it gives no drawbacks. For gimp, yeah. Its a mess

There is a problem with this post. Your targeted audience most likely doesnt understand the meaning of !=, if they did, they would most likely know the point of the post anyways 😁
