@faisalhakim47 might be alluding at ES6 vs TypeScript :)
But I'd suppose this could also relate to stuff like design patterns, code style, libraries and frameworks willing to become somehow a standard for web development..
Quite multilayered - that's why it caught my attention I guess :D -
I bet you enjoyed every byte.. 🙈😀
-
@jjhiza 'Quacknar' would work out as well 🙃
-
@dcode thanks for your advice! Have personally worked with Vue before and I like it a lot!
Have some experience in React and Angular as well, so choosing a frontend framework wouldn't trouble me too much.
However, there are concerns in the company that search engines still do not rate SPAs as high as server-side rendered sites.
I'd suggest an isomorphic rendering approach then, but I won't get the opportunity to execute JavaScript on our servers...
These are the points where the discussions pop up though. 😉 -
@heyheni doing so currently! Trying to take into account all the experience and advice I can get from colleagues and friends working as developers as well.
Also have slept on it for another night now and I guess, theory and concept is for sure important, but at some point you just have to start somehow and approach it step by step.
Yesterday I simply got to a point where it was too much and just had to complain about it somewhere... thank god there's DevRant. 😁
However - if someone has experience in integrating a frontend solution with a Symfony backend, would be grateful to hear about it. -
Just out of curiosity: Why didn't they provide a Mac for you as well, or was it your preference to stay with Windows?
Are you the only Android developer in the company though? Otherwise I'd be wondering why there's noone supporting you while getting started. :o
However - starts might be hard, but you will make it for sure! :) -
@nljw ordered mine from a huge, popular online store.. name starts with an "A".. those hints must be enough to solve the riddle! :)
-
@mattrayner saw this the other day as a recommendation cause I bought mine lately.. ChewQuacker - simply brilliant!!
-
@darksideplease what are you doing though? ;)
-
@nuhaf that's a really great intention!!
I guess it must be a brilliant experience to see programming with children's eyes as well as I think programming is a perfect toy for children to play around with!
The challenge is to prepare the basics appropriate for children.. Have you sorted this out completely on your own or do you maybe have any recommendations regarding books or other readings on how to teach programming kid-friendly?
Probably needless to say, but I really think about looking for a similar opportunity! Sounds great! :) -
@nuhaf are you a teacher or how did you start teaching kids the basics of programming? Great thing! :)
-
@TurnItOffAndOn it is indeed :)
All the others: really appreciate your opinions and advices!
Generally it's really just a feeling coming over me sometimes, not happening too often though! However, I was curious if this just happens to me or too some of you as well! :) -
@ChappIO absolutely true, maybe I should stress this: Didn't want to blame anyone! :) This platform is made for rants, as you say, and it's great and the community is simply great as well!
It's just an irrational feeling coming up sometimes when reading about a framework I'm somehow connected to! ;) -
@JakeHL probably yes, I get your point, however: Apple's reviewing those apps and allowing developers to publish them in the App Store.
This causes some association already I'd say. :D
But yeah, in general you're completely right, this is for sure the idea behind it.. but it's quite painful too and due to the different results of different reviewers it sometimes appears to be quite random. -
@jens-peter yeah true thing, it's in the guidelines, we just didn't even hit the idea that this might cause a problem, so we didn't check it explicitly.. ;)
The restriction is a little weird in my eyes, I mean, I'm not allowed to present Apple's hardware in Apple's App Store? When I do so, doesn't this show even more commitment to Apple than just showing some random smartphone?
Would be my interpretation though.. But hey.. Apple's store, Apple's rules. x) -
I'd suggest 'Temptatures' (as your looking for tempting temperatures :) )
-
@Letmecode oh great, thank you so much! Feeling a bit embarrassed.. Amazon seems to be quiet obvious.. But hey, maybe this was added after my last research on this.. :D
-
@Letmecode where did you get your straw holding a metal filter? Searched for it for a while, but I wasn't able to actually find a shop selling it.
-
Had a colleague who was drinking all day from his bombilla :)
Still thinking about buying one myself.. Currently I draw on Club Mate though :D
