@AleCx04 Oo game engine dev who plays bass too, sounds exactly like the kinda person I’d love to be friends with lol
-
@Wisecrack again I don’t know much about it to be able to say too much, it’s just something I’ve been meaning to try since god knows when
Component oriented engines are pretty helpful in certain game types. I’ll probably use something like it when I eventually make one of my bigger game ideas. But that’s not something I intend to put into rhachis, but now that I’m actually thinking more about it it could be good 🤔 idk I’ll have to think about whether I wanna put it in the engine, put it as a game template for the engine, or just leave it for the dev to decide on -
@Wisecrack Godot is cool, but I haven’t gotten to try much about it. Here’s the repo https://github.com/SalsaGal/rhachis
-
@retoor yep that’s the reason I use it, supported by blender and better than obj
-
Looks like making a void pointer to the address 0, ie setting the instruction pointer to the beginning. Sounds weird but makes sense for a microcontroller
-
@neriald Emoji and emoticon actually refer to different things, emoji are the tiny pictures, while emoticons are things like (づ ◕‿◕ )づ
-
@retoor it supported obj and gltf but I’ve been doing a rewrite and now it only mostly supports gltf, I’m planning to resupport those soon tho
-
@topsecret230 I added reading command line arguments and loading levels from an argument path :/
-
Heya I"m Salsa Gal#7901 on the server
-
@nururururu Definitely this, a large number of people drop it after a short while when they realise that just doing something for the money is actually a bad idea
-
I prefer master so that when I say main it’s unambiguous that it’s referring to the main file/function, rather than the git branch, but beyond that I don’t really care
-
@iiii Especially for a single program that’s very unnecessary
-
Adding “SKIP_HOST_UPDATE”: true to your ~/.config/discord/settings.json should work to stop that
-
@lorentz it’s a remake of an old ps1 rhythm game: https://github.com/open-manifold/...
-
I change something unrelated in my library and then all of a sudden this is fixed. Maybe it got cached wrong or something? Genuinely no idea what could have caused this.
-
cargo what are you on right now
-
@Lensflare I've wanted to try this for ages but I can't afford VR 😔
-
@PepeTheFrog twins here :D
-
@thebiochemic Oo in rust too? I’d love to check it out
-
@hjk101 Using assembly for it would lose a lot of the portability though, I think the lowest you can go while still leaving it up to the libraries to AOT compile is SPIR-V
-
@hjk101 Not all of them! I use WGSL which is similar in syntax to Rust :)
-
@b2plane unless I’m misunderstanding you’re not writing c++ you’re just writing a language that looks like it. GLSL is compiled to instructions the GPU can understand when it’s loaded by whatever graphics library you’re using
-
@chatgpt what is a monad
-
Aw this seems to have been fixed, I lost a valuable piece to make fun of ChatGPT with
-
@happygimp0 I'm curious what things you've found English to be too limited for
-
@electrineer ikr like at least try injecting meth on someone before signing yourself up 🙄 lmao
-
@b2plane or :x to write and quit both at once
-
@Demolishun the library just didn't have a function for it because, like, really why would you need it
-
@YouAllSuck what
-
@YouAllSuck lmao i'm pansexual, i just use gay as an umbrella term
also why you mention me here?
