Currently still working on this one. Interning at the sugardaddy for dutch students. Have a great team there, but the whole research thing that my university demands me to do is on my mind so damn much that it takes all my joy from the internship. It feels like it prevents me from learning things that truly matter to me, like my extreme anxiety of even doing any form of coding. I just want to be an IT teacher/lecturer ;¬;

I don't know if making gameplay highlight vids count as geeky, but I enjoy doing it :)

Tldr: I failed a test and was sad about jt

So a while ago I had a python exam for my study, nothing special like a certification or anything, just the basics. We are not allowed to use internet because they want to prevent people from communicating from one another. Usually im fine with this rule, but this time it screwed me over so much.

The exam is setup in 3 main assignments each of which has 5 subassignments. Hence, if you cant do subassignment 1, you fail the entire main assignment and lose 33% of your grade. I completely blacked out during the exam and couldnt remember how to simply get a number from a string interpreted as an int and forgot how to work with json. Because we weren't allowed to use internet I wasn't able to figure this out and have now failed the test.

I'm so sad and mad at myself for not acing such an easy test and for a day I felt unworthy of being a programmer. Thank God I got over that and have a resit somewhere next week.

When working on a schoolproject I actually managed to do loads of work in a night when I was mad drunk.

Two days later I met with the project group again at school and I remembered I did something with the project, but had not the slightest idea anymore.

My project group showed up all excited that a lot of bugs were resolvee and we finally had something really nice working in the frontend thanks to me. It was a similar feeling to waking up when your arm/hand is numb and on your face and you have no clue whats going on, at first youre scared and later it was a damn cool experience.

Since im still a student in software dev (am I still welcome here on devrant? :P), it is easy for me to not do coding. Specially because the summerbreak just started. However I am going to try and learn some stuff about network programming, that caught my attention :D
