A working set of definitions:
Prime: a natural number with exactly 2 divisors
Composite: a natural number with > 2 divisors -
@Rekonnect what are you coming here for?
-
Hyped for the Orlando Regional!!!
-
I was. We used C++ for a long time, and two years ago a friend an I rewrote our whole codebase to use Java instead since that was what was taught in APCS and we wanted more programmers to be familiar with what we were using if possible. I also wrote a vision library in Java that we relied on pretty heavily until this year (now we use OpenCV with Java)
I’m a former member of team 2202, btw. -
Are you kidding? Teaching kids python as a first language is a terrible idea. These people are going to hit a brick wall when they have to learn how things actually work underneath. C, C++, or Java are much better intro languages for people who want to know what is actually happening
-
Turn back.
-
Sorry, I’m not impressed. That’s just what ^(...11111) means.
Ehh -
x^=true;
-
Oh, it’s because those are metric percentages.
-
You two know each other or something?
No, I’m not too concerned because I lock my door when I sleep, and if I’m asleep in the same room as strangers I’m more worried about my stuff being stolen or like being killed than someone unlocking my phone, tbh. -
@rostopira that’s not true in Java either lol
-
The Onion?
-
@projektaquarius My personal favorite are prime powers of 2.
I guess 2 is the only one, but still... -
@Lahsen2016 “Jordan” is only 6 characters, and a lot of the time people are required to have 8, plus a number. That is, so that they can reuse the same password everywhere so if one company does things incorrectly, everything is compromised.
-
I think it’s good for people to learn if they want to.
However...
I think programs like Hour of Code and the nonsensical drag-and-drop command “programming” Google is encouraging is a terrible idea. This isn’t what programming is and just because you can trace a path doesn’t mean you will remotely enjoy programming a computer. We don’t need every kid to be a CS major just like we didn’t need nearly as many lawyers as the number provided by the last generation.
So if you think logically and like to program, yeah, totally learn. But if you only care about this to balance quotas or because you want to be seen as someone you aren’t by others (which seems to be happening way too often, at least in my communities), find a better way to spend your time please. -
If it’s a bug, then the answer would be “yes”
-
What a testament to the value of privacy!
Yeah, that definitely sounds pretty rough. Keeping your doors locked is probably a decent start, but beyond that your guess is a good as mine. As everyone else has mentioned a restraining order might be worth a shot, but I have no idea how helpful it will actually be.
On a side note, I’m a little confused. If it’s too personal, I understand but you mentioned that you have a girlfriend and also that you were pregnant? I’m little lost there... -
I’m one of the non-retired ones
-
Sorry, I just gotta day that male avatar is really disorienting in a conversation about women...
-
You guys did IOI? Cool! I do ACM ICPC, and my team got 4th in the South East Regional for the US. Another team from my school won though, so they get to go to world finals!
-
😂😂😂😂
-
It’s Ashkin!
-
Also, why are you leaving us hanging? What problem was the algorithm for?
-
@Hammster how do you query which of the n receipt you want? A tree is log(n), but a hashmap isn’t REALLY O(1)...
-
Firefox Quantum because it is really really good
-
@CorruptComputer nah, I don’t use chrome for political reasons, mainly. I have far fewer political issues with Microsoft.
-
Haha, nice. While I myself haven’t been mistreated once, the lack of neutrality from companies that control information flow (especially Google over the past election!) has started to get on my nerves. If you provide information to the public and claim to be neutral, you better use an objective, apolitical algorithm to filter data. And if that means that both radical, blue-haired, lesbian, ISIS supporting radicals and screaming Alex Jones cult members get on the first page of search results, do be it. Because some day I am going to be damn sure I am right about something as crazy as Alex Jones and I sure as hell don’t want to be censored because some company doesn’t like what I have to say.

Woot! DuckDuckGo!
-
Learning Latin? That happens to be where the word "defenestrate" comes from--meaning to throw one out of a window.
-
Top for sure. Too much Chrome in the bottom
