@Demolishun yep, coffee is great. As long as you’re not actually addicted to it, it’s all good. I have no idea about any of that other shit, it sounds like stuff you have to go out of your way to consume.
-
I’m a big fan of price hikes due to external issues like tariffs, bad harvests, and similar problems that cannot be controlled by the seller. Then, once the problem is gone, the price is mysteriously not updated.

Like one of those games that let you select a dialogue choice but their only purpose is having a tiny bit of dialogue difference, around 5 words. And then it carries on as usual.

@retoor
For now it’s just 3 of us. We want to make our game studio as cheap as possible to run. No offices, minimal expenses, minimum requirements to keep a company running. Fully private. Full remote.
I don’t care about being the boss, I care about having a common goal and vision, and someone to work with. Have a team of people with skin in the game, and all wanting to make cool stuff. I’m happy I finally found someone I can do this with, even if it will take time for us to get good at this.
Any success and every failure will be our own, rather than me selling my labor to a boss. I can see myself working for a game company for a while as a learning experience, but it’s not necessary. We know what niche to start with. We may eventually hire or contract someone, but we haven’t discussed the details.
I am sick of the corporate life. The tech industry is shit and I want out. And I’m going to make it happen. -
I’m working on it. I’m making my own game dev studio.
-
Sweet release from everything, I guess?
-
It is also an actually good version. I disliked what they did in the PS3 version, but so far this one has actually been an improvement. Great game, I’ve been having a blast.
-
@Demolishun what systems were abandoned? If anything, I’d say it’s one of the reigning ways of thought is all about human value. With the consequence of every other living being becoming important based on their usefulness to humans.
-
What is bad about it? I’ll be moving to that soon, just vulkan.
-
This reminds of a museum visit, where the exhibition talked about how some of the old punishments (from Roman empire? I can’t remember well) were all about erasing someone from history. Say that you have a knight, with fame and all. Renowned enough to have his name written Solon a few places. If they fell out of place, the powers that be would do all they can to remove his name and any signs of his existence.

@Demolishun he just had an ordinary case of suicide by shooting himself in the back from another building and leaving no suicide note

Starting to exercise and avoiding bad food is easier than I thought. For me, it started with exercise, then it got more intense, and eventually it started to affect my diet. I have to sort of rewire myself when I am trying to bulk, but I’ve gotten used to it.
It’s all about lifestyle changes and self control. I found that exercise served as a way to discipline yourself, which in turns makes it easier to control your diet. In my case anyway. -
I keep having node projects pushed into my plate. I’m jumping to game dev. But until my game releases AND makes enough money (big if), I’ll suffer through it.
-
@12bitfloat someone has to do the dirty jobs
-
It’s really good at giving you suggestions and alternatives. Because even hallucinations can be insightful at times.
I use it when I’m not sure what to proceed on, or where to start with an issue. -
@NoMad the peasants are revolting. An example must be made so they’re reminded that they should be happy to get table scraps.
-
Good guy. Funny how this shit only matters when some rich cunt is the one that died. If it was some random poor schmuck they’d be like “dunno lol”.
-
I blame the shitty way of teaching. They made damn sure to make it feel like a useless thing to learn, and taught it in as boring a way as they possibly could.
I’m super into this shit now, and other things I never cared about. -
It’s probably a bug.
-
I’m working on doing the same. I think it will work out, but actual ML work usually requires you to do research, and companies often want someone with a masters or PHD for that stuff.
Worst case scenario, the math and comp sci skills are always useful. -
I use only the finest South Korean shampoo.
-
I’ve passed their stupid leetcode tests just to end up going through more bullshit. One time I was even offered a non engineering position. Fucking waste of time.
A much bigger company had me talk with them about my work experience, made sure that I knew what I was talking about, and we sealed the deal.
But you got all of those big tech wannabes that shit all over everything because they deluded themselves into thinking they’re hot shit. It’s silly. -
A lot of those are not a race.
-
She enjoys her alone time as much as I do, so we have both alone and shared time. There isn’t really anything to “handle”.
-
@Demolishun what model are you using?
-
@asskisser but why would you do it for 1000 days in a row? Are you in a perpetual cycle of changing jobs?
-
Has it helped you on anything that isn’t interviews?
-
@CoreFusionX share your horror stories!

It knows too much. It must be deleted.
