You are lucky that you have version control. In my current project (with an Indian outsourcing co), they don't even have version control.

My project was supposed to be transferred from a different location to where I am now. Everything was supposed to happen. Knowledge transfer, ramping up the new team, new hierarchy. Totally messed up. Adding to it, client extended the other team for one more year and the new team is left stranded. The other team now wants to show the new team in a bad light. They don't even think that it is the same company. This quote made me remember my situation.

Fucking idiots (managers) at my current place decided to have 'mid-sprint demos', effectively shortening the development time. WTF ? And these idiots have other ideas after the demo..
-
@taglia I am currently in a place where source code can be edited via Apache Guacamole.. Horrible experience..

Which company is this. No need to name it, a hint would be good. If my guess is correct one of the big services companies?
-
Indian IT services company?

Well said.

Learned a new thing. Thanks.

"You don't know JS" book series delves into scoping in detail, went through it and decided that there are better things to learn.

This is the question that I want IT companies in India who "log" the "time worked" (monitor swipe in, swipe out etc.) answer, i.e. how is this time captured..
-
All the best. Enjoy learning new things. Don't skip the Math stuff.

After seeing the question, wanted to check if the post was from India. Yes!
-
Yes. I have fedora box with integrated intel graphics and nvidia. Somehow managed to switch off intel and use nvidia. Though original intention could have been to seamlessly move between intel and nvidia based on load. I think possible in linux (bumblebee?). Didn't investigate further.
-
@HollowKitty Thanks for the SO link. As another post said, learnt a new thing today.
-
Your outsourced code will most probably look like this.
-
Lucky you.

@LicensedCrime
Looks like the Java regex engine doesn't support it. The code I was talking about is overflowing with regexes. Pure madness. -
