popular npm packages. fuck you too autocorrect
-
With Node I usually suggest to dive right in. Think of an *intermediate level* project that will drive you and code it while making use of popular mom packages.
A fun project to build is a back-end for instant messaging app. This will have you working with express for REST API implementation, socket.io for end2end websocket communication, RethinkDb for real-time database , etc etc. -
Turn off solution wide analysis for large solutions. should help
-
remove back-end integration implementation, minify all the source code into one file, scrap all the automated tests. tell him he can have it as a demo for his "new dev team".
-
what's funny is that with today's tools and cvs tools, even the dumbest, most technically illiterate manager can easily see who contributes more to the project's success...
-
Whenever I need a Linux VM I always install Ubuntu Gnome flavor. unity just sucks...
-
@Jumpshot44 yeah. I can solve a 3x3 in 30ish seconds and 4x4 in 2.5 minutes approximately
-
@SirWindfield A sticker-less Rubik's cube. I also have a 4x4 one on my shelf in the office
-
I can imagine the follow-up messages:
"Dear Colleagues,
My last message was cut short because I acci<ctrl+enter>"
"Dear colleagues,
I'm a fucking moron.
Best regards,
Dumbass" -
on my high-school days (3 years ago) students were eligible for free license for educational purposes if I remember correctly. Had a lot of fun prototyping with matlab, although its OOP syntax sucks.
Once PoC was done we converted our project (remote controlled robot which plays billiard) to OpenCV on C++. -
I like it even better when they ask for "XHTML5 devs".
-
Or we can just down vote you to hell to achieve downflow. Thanks for the suggestion stranger! here, have a down vote.

welcome to the community you cunt 😀

I wish, however, that native modules integration was better. At the moment it requires messing around with WebKit API mixed with half-baked Node input streams... yuck
-
O'Reilly just published the second edition of "Learning Node", so I suggest you give it a try if you want an updated book.
Node is awesome for so many reasons and is documented very well. #glhf -
Look at the project that made him most proud and ask himself "Could I have done it better?". If the answer is "no", he is not ready for the industry

start by spying on him to gather info, and if he finds out just stub him to restore order.

Now I feel bad for allocating 32Gb RAM for my monsoon VM, which I only use to test accessiblity using jaws on IE...

programming is as good as sex... I'll try to remember that the next time I cry myself to sleep.
