"How to win friends and influence people" by Dale Carnegie

Well, my biggest goal in life is to marry a hot blue eyed blonde girl.

If you're a dev it's easy to get experience, create something, build something. In my case, I contacted my local church to ask them if they have some sort of problem that can be resolve by building software on it. They ask me to build a computerized attendance monitoring system. So I build it. Then I managed to put it on github so I can show it in my future interviews. I got my first job because I managed to show my interviewer a proof of my experience. And everything is history, I'm now have 4+ years of experience and the money is flowing like a flood.
Sorry for my English guys. Oh, and that's another thing I need to improve. -
Is that a 34 inch curved display? If so, what model is your mac?

With that money, I can live for almost 3 years without a job.

I don't mind it. I have stackoverflow Db on my harddrive

Or you can just leave and let someone else support it.

Hahaha, that's nothing compared to what had happened in my company a few years ago. We had a developer who filed a resignation a month before his last deployment. So what happened was his deployment is on Dec 9 and his last day in job was Dec 10. After he deployed the app, it suddenly stop working and we called him very early to go to office immediately. And since we knew there was something wrong, he immediate file for a sick leave. Then after the next day, we can no longer contact him because he's officially resigned.
And our company has no choice but to pay the client $300,000 for failed deployment fee. -
Yeah me too. The first program that I wrote was actually clean, but it has no comment. One time I showed it to my colleagues at work, and their response was "This is ridiculous! A function with only 1 or 2 lines of code, this is insane." yeah, I didn't bother to defend it because after all, they've never read the book Code Complete and Clean code by Robert Martin.

Yes, the world is unfair guys, a very talented mid-level dev is earning only half of what this idiot senior dev is making. That's a perfect formula for depression.
-
I find your post very arrogant and not empathetic. You call your colleague idiot and asshole over a code. He probably did his best to finished your project. You know what, we are all idiot in some degree. Based on what I've read, you're the kind of guy that I don't want to work with.
Sorry for my english. -
One time I ask my manager to give us dual monitor. I gather all the facts about productivity in relation to number of monitors. But he said "no". Then one time I brought my own monitor to our office, and my dumb manager give me a stern warning not to bring an equipment not approved my our company. Good thing is I no longer work in that company.
