I'm all for your finding your SO who understands the intricacies of the social/professional circle you spend your time in but that's just not wholeheartedly realistic.

Edit: I don't wanna be an asshole or preacher, but it seems to me you need to be realistic with the fact that most people you interact with are not internet/technological people and if you limit yourself to being friendly and personal with those people you're no worse than them for being incompetent on the subject. @irene Vendor in a sense of service and product, I agree. Yet, try and tell someone who's never owned anything but an iPhone to switch and you're stuck in their ignorance. I could use that as a reason to not be with someone but that's as superficial and ridiculous as their reasoning for being an iPhone fanboy/fangirl. So I don't let it be a thing. I just think it's small minded is all. Not to say I wouldn't want my SO to see me eye to eye on this. It's just that as far as an SO goes, this tech related thing is pretty stupid.
