@linuxxx I always love fucking your comments.
Did I stutter? -
@nosoup4u me too, and all I had was a latte! Go figure.

"Godot is great n all, but the loading times are infinite" -Someone telling a Waiting for Godot joke.

I think I've only ever seen it the first time, what gets commented as a repost, about 90% of the time.
I don't surf as much as others, it seems, or maybe El Algorithmo has been kind to me.
Or perhaps all the reposting flags do their work before I get to the information superhighway.
Actually, I'm gonna start doing my bit for the remaining 10%, agreeing on the method of flagging it only, to help prevent repost recomments at the same time. -
"oh no"

"go there, and await my instruction."

The ones I know who have written documentation are the ones I know who are in long term relationships (they're either having all the sex or have had all the sex). I, personally, do neither. Is that my problem?
-
@chadd17 zomg, that's the new dialogue.
-
@qbasic16 tsk. Everyone knows that no-one knows. Psh.
-
I imagine the person on the phone to the paper reading out each character in the phonetic alphabet....
-
@Qaldim I agree, these things give opportunities to learn how to work in groups.
Every group will be like this in one way or another, and using its lameness as an excuse to not have to deal with it is as common an approach as those who leech.
Only, once out of academia, you will not be marked on your merit, only the result.
Best way to tackle this is by applying infrastructure.
At the beginning of the group project, you work together to come up with a solution, and tasks get delegated. Tasks are given early deadlines to give time to correct issues. If a task is not completed, you go above the group to whom the delegate reports to, and you report what's happened. If it continues, the task gets redelegated and they suffer disciplinary action.
It's not perfect, but it's better than inaction. -
@codepoet shut up. I didn't realise... //Cries.

Is this not a call back to the guy who first sold his soul on eBay back when putting an arbitrary e in front of your company name was as cool as putting an arbitrary I in front of it five years ago?
I should probably Google this first, but dammit my opinion matters!! -
I've sussed it. Tiny green dot is new, tiny low contrast purple is read. I am the genius now!
-
@rusty-hacker thanks :)
-
@ScribeOfGoD the questions posed are not mutually exclusive; I definitely am thick, but yeah, only one of these are new, and I only know by context:
Charge your phone, dave. -
"It worked. Do you want to try again, then ?"
Sounds like Microsoft. Wtf. -
Does it still count if I only drink pale, not anything as heavy as ipa++?
-
Mousetrap mate, rtfm. ;)
-
Tee-slogan-worthy. Shut up and take my money you genius! :D

I had a Nokia N95. It had 3g, I think. It definitely had a camera for recording video. I got the super amazing futurist amazes hyperadvanced amaze iPhone. It was like being plunged into a colourful dark age again. Fuck apple and their empty promises.

@MatiasConTilde so it was a case of jonny-come-lately when numbers larger than three got involved and they used the cardinal numbers for the roots of the rest? I love languages, even non-coding ones...
-
@nicholai it's an anti-Turing Test.
-
@Dittoslash see you, see design lead pal, see us, we'll no show nahen, by the way.
-
@daveslater wait, it's possibly an old enough word for that effect where a consonant and vowel in a syllable will swap. In trinary, the a from tria is dropped, so tres would be tre-nary, which could then become ternary. Perhaps not descended from tertius. Interesting.
-
@jschmold @deanveloper "ter" seems to come from a different source word than the rest of the list's words. Tria is the third cardinal number in Latin (or tres) so I'd have expected it to be trinary (please, never tresnary). But then, English isn't the most consistent of languages. Hehe
-
@qbasic16 love the name. Did you ever see the "mini rpg" series in qbasic? Astonishing work.
-
@jschmold I jostled with which to pick as both are in common usage, trinary sounded better.
And it wasn't gonna end with a windows joke, but...
