@LotsOfCaffeine I wish they just gave a warning and the compiler will probably remove it anyways
-
Because of how our system works I sometimes have to develop remotely (if I am at a different branch away from my standalone) but the latency is normally 1-2ms because of a direct fiber link between branches.
Almost not noticable at all -

I have been using Unity on an old 8gb i5 Macbook I have as a spare laptop to play around with making a game every night, the only time it lags is when I force it to import scripts otherwise it has been totally fine.
But I dont know how many scripts or assets you have -
@bittersweet this is the exact reason why I love Factorio and played for large amount of hours
-
Congrats!! But please dont put # infront of your tags
-
@rutee07 and hotdogs dont have dogs (at least in my country)
-
@Cyanide This is really going out of hand
-
@Root I just realized that @RandomQuote is just a profile of random quotes..
-
This is really good
-
Not a bad definition but I wouldn't say do whatever you want... unless you dont want a working PC
-
Good luck!
-
@theabbie I guess because there is a meme it is meant to make it funny. But I see it as a rant.

Welcome back, looks like you've been gone for around 7-8 months

I have a decent amount of experience with losing and saving data:
https://devrant.com/rants/3487008/... -
My debug actions for this kind of stuff which hopefully could help you:
On another PC, download Rufus and Ubuntu (20.04 is what I use)
Use Rufus to make the USB bootable with the Ubunti ISO (make sure to select legacy options and MBR)
Boot the PC from the stick and select Try ubuntu, when it is up, open Gparted and you can find out how to recover the partition from there
Once you have Gparted running and you can see the drive which has the deleted partition, a bit of Google and you should be able to recover it -
On an unrelated note, my brother got married yesterday

@NoToJavaScript lol your name is NoToJavaScript.
I agree that JS is harder to maintain but not impossible (I have found some ancient node code that I needed to tweak a few years after it was written)
But I generally prefer TS unless it's a really small project. -
Well you should mark I think its 2036 or 2037 as I think that will be the 32bit int rollover. May be wrong as I dont have time to check
-
Paper is basically a more difficult exam as you generally have to remember all the syntax and commands exactly plus it is harder to erase and you would have to be more skilled in programming in that language.
Do I still think exams should be on paper, no fucking way. -
Happened to find this rant, how has it been?
-
@SortOfTested especially when they confuse it with JSON
-
When I first heard about Rust it sounded like a really old language until I realized it released in around 2015...
Now I just immediately think of the game as I used to play a lot of it. -
I have somehow never successfully partitioned a drive without losing all the data.
-
I would almost feel like strangling the person who came up with this idea just because I dont know of any other appropriate reaction
-
Your Service Oriented Architecture team needs some assistance in life...
I cannot imagine what would happen if they try to google an issue with generating JSON and wondering why everyone uses {} -
I have never connected Python to the Soviet union in my whole life. I would never thing of those 2 subjects at the same time until you posted this rant
-
I was about to question your decision to add a link to a gif instead of posting it but then I read your comment.
-
Well I dont think Steave Jobs envisioned a buggy safari debugger.
But there is probably some employee in Apple that messed it up
