Showing a knowledge of how to write a code that is easily extendable and testable is not nice to have, it is a must if anybody has any knowledge.
Showing somebody how to do X while somebody else is focusing on another stuff that IMO should be there is fixable. It's another interview with small pointers to see if the person understands.
That's why we have code reviews. It's one comment and 1 line changed.
Why it's 1 line change? Because everything is extendable, I made it like that for a reason.
Oh I didn't mention that the main X is already solved, they are just finding other stuff that is not the primary focus -
@Jilano yup
just to update the rant
they are glad that i saw that missing and gave a huge red flag so it'll be fixed
let's hope that this kind of stuff won't happen again -
yes, i will raise this to some sort of upper management and i'll see what they say
but i'm just sad to see that he sold himself as some sort of senior dev -
@molaram fucking me or ms? :)
anyone can go fuck ms, but plz don't fuck me :D
ms i fucking me :/
fuck ms -
@010001111 yup
its still hackable editor -
vscode is text editor
whole point of ide is that it is integrated (first letter). it is eclipse, all jetbrains stuff, vs (studio)...
integrated means no plugins needed to do the work
if we compare stuff like that then i'm coding in os within os, i can send emails through emacs and play games, but all that discussion is useless you use what suits you
and yes, vscode is electron so it is browser after all :) -
@ibndias it could be a burnout. I had similar symptoms in previous company and then i somehow managed to control it (few fights with boss here and there). And after the fights i couldn't get a promotion although i was working quite a big chunks and then i left.
you should try to work on something that's fun for you (even playing games) and doing minimal for college, take your time for yourself and be careful in the future -
i changed a job and thats how i fixed it
-
@priandpasta true, they are but the trick with software is they dont know what they want most of the time but they want it asap :)
-
In programming you also need to keep your client happy.

im not saying it should be that dark :)

monitor brightness control?
if you lower the surrounding light and the output of the monitor you get less light in the eyes and therefore you get less eye strain -
since i dont want to exploit gender
i will just call it retarded -
; this is lisp style comment

i have a guy who is called senior in my team (he knows stuff) but mostly fucks me up in the brain when writing stuff in X language which he was employed to write
is that a use case to say fof?
(im somewhat mid lvl)
i mean i know other languages but i google the syntax at least when i write those languages -
i think django admin was created for developers not users
-
go for unstable one
i would still chose that over big company even if salary was the same (shity)
