@hitko It's a project that was already at my job when I started a few years ago. We never did upgrade it since many have been using it without problems, but now they want to migrate it to another area and so the upgrade was needed.
I did fix all the RxJS 5 code to RxJS 6 and the HttpClientModule replacement with lots of hard work. Right now the biggest problem was moving from the free Omega theme to the Nova-Light theme in PrimeNG 6. -
@olback sorry, i forgot to mention that i didn't go from 2.4 to 6. I went 1 major at a time, so it was 2.4 > 4 > 5 > 6.

Allman all the way for me. It helps me see code blocks much easier when using a text editor like Notepad++ or vim.

@truestark
do you have the link of the project or apk? -
What app did you use?

I'm actually finished with classes and just have to do my residencies in order to earn my title, but thank you anyways! ^^ -
@PRein @mohamedghr
I forgot to mention that this poll is NEVER taken seriously by the school. We have this teacher who is just plain horrible and doesn't even teach anything. I asked lots of students who had her (more than 50 I assure you) and everyone told me that they have answered negatively on that poll and yet NOTHING has been done. And this has been going on for years already. My class even reported her to the administration and nothing was accomplished.
Sadly, that's how things are here in Mexico. -
So the backend engineer is quite the badass that they don't even need to see the code to make the page run like it should?

That's easy!!! JABON

I tried both styles before and I stayed with the second because I can easily see where my opening and closing braces are at and can debug much quicker.
I also sometimes do my set/get or other statements in a single line since they aren't big or that complex to understand/see. -
Maybe I'm beign a bit outdated but I would make a demo version and if they liked it let them pay for the full version. I don't really like apps with ads at all... to me they seem a bit unsafe...

This kinda reminds me of the patented/illegal prime numbers that are used in certain cryptographic methods

Have a look at Apache Cordova

Sometimes the problem resides between the keyboard and the chair though...

I believe that to make a decision you should look at what you need to accomplish and see which language is better suited for the job. Not all languages can get the job done in the best way.
