Talk about reality, it's what people care.
I honestly have no idea how the market is in the us (suposedly since you talked about dollars) -
pff, you store the password? I just throw it away, I only store the length, then only check the size of the password and the username client side.
But I always add a null filled row called password, that way if the password gets leaked by hackers they will be confused and give up -
@whimsical let's add a NFSW tag to that url lol

@D-4got10-01 thinking about it now, the sad part is that they really were clueless... they really though everything in tech was free.
that idea essentially made them market their product (a b2b two way marketplace ) as a freemium product...
they thought they had traction, but they really just burned lots of money for no return. -
for a second there I though you are fredie and the company was Mistery Incorporated
-
websockets keep disconnecting for me :/

@Lensflare yes pressure can be an issue, but they are used mostly because they are much cheaper than installing gas heating, due to infrastrucure costs... most people are used to them, Gas heating is considered something for hotels, in very specific places people use them, mostly upper class appartments and house holds
-
@whimsical I'm actually the second child, my brother was jonathan... my parents were nintendo addicts
-

-
I have told this stories to some people outside Brazil and I could tell they were thinking I was lying... Years later I realized why:
When I tell this random piece of story, In my head everyone knows I'm talking about an eletric shower, but plenty of people not only don't associate showers with electricity but are terrified of the suicide showers of doom
The funny bit is, the only thing a suicide shower killed in my life were my Age of Empire 2 hame sessions -
I hope it slows down again, I love the nostalgia of making believe I was still on may 56k fax/model
-
I also became a dev because I was interested in game development, and ended up in webdev
my first code was a DOS based pong game I copied from a tutorial -
@JsonBoa " arranged married " please tell us more?

but I still have that irk to go framework hoping, one of these days I found LeafPHP, which I found interesting, anyone has experiece with it? -
yep, for us , in the know... the sad part is, it works on the majority of the population
-
by this point I think it's mostly to keep cost down, probably it's running on a cluster of disposable vapes or something
-
@D-4got10-01 yep, cloudflare is a good one, but If the person crawling really wants to crawl your data and has some expertise and patience, it's not so easy to avoid it
-
is this self reported or measured on site?
-
welp there's a rant if I even seen one! we are here for you
-
@Grumm I'm not smart enought for rust...
vim is a completelly different beast, I know exactly 5 commands and will tell everyone about it... constantly....
Did you know you can quit vim without saving and breaking production code? You don't need to pull your router from the wall and wonder if anything bad might happen the whole weekend. The more you know! -
@glowFX I think it's mostly derrogatory on developer circles.
I personally think it has it's place , especially with great tools like builder.io, bolt.new and lovable.
But there's also the get rich quick side of youtube that brandishes vibecoding like it's a panacea for the IT World, telling lies to sell what is basically throw away content
