@echonox it's not a paradox, but it is ironic.
-
@irene you know what, nevermind. I'm a complete dummy. In the raw text format OF COURSE it lists the links. Anyway, Irene, thank you for your advice.
-
@irene I guess. I didn't realize that making a rule to look in the body would find those things, though. Super glad it did!
-
@irene Hey you did give me an idea! I tried putting the website (called "do-not-click-danger" hilariously...) In a rule since the links all lead to that site and hey! It worked! I wasn't sure if outlook rules would look in the hyperlinks in an email but I suppose they do!
-
@irene Its a great idea, but sadly, they're all different. They're sneaky bastards and there isn't anything consistent between the emails (even the link urls) besides the pages they ultimately link to.
-
@ethernetzero this does sound ideal... Maybe I'll get another one and throw my favorite 4 distros on it... Yeah that's what I'll do.
-
@tokumei isn't that a theory? That the more advanced technology gets, the more bugs we intentionally put into the system to keep ourselves from becoming obsolete? Though, it's very possible that's just some fever dream of mine and not real.
-
@JKyll I'm the same way. That's why we're on here ranting and they're using IE.
-
@JKyll I guess they aren't long-term planners. And by "long-term" I mean step 3.
-
@CoffeeNcode gotta say, I haven't seen that yet, so I guess I'm lucky... There's still time, though.
-
@TerraNimbus-io thanks! Great suggestion. This is way better than the ever popular basic, premium, Enterprise payment levels I've seen. I would never want to limit my most basic users from features they'll likely use (like reminders in a todo app), because for a lot of these apps and services, I myself am a basic user. Once I get more cash flow in my life, I plan to donate to all the companies I use who are this generous. From my experience with apps, being kind and generous pays off.
-
@ynnk I'm thinking more like "premium" subscriptions. So like Todoist for example, that has "extra" (arguably basic...) features like reminders, themes, tags, etc. for a monthly subscription of 3-7 dollars.
-
The surprising part is that it worked at all! Who goes to all the trouble of actually cracking software only to use it to deliver viruses like some expensive digital envelope? Seems like a waste of time on the cracker's part.
-
Dicky move by the company, hilarious move by the employee. I respect that.
-
Out of curiosity, do graduate CS programs suffer from the same oversaturation?
I'm sitting on degrees in English and Philosophy and pretty damn nervous about getting in. -
Oh geez... I had no idea what a heinous crime I had committed. Never use it anymore, but yeah I installed it. I'll go clean that mess up now. Thanks for the FYI, guys.
