@georgeburkitt the course was obligated, just following the lecture itself wasn’t hahaha. Now I’m doing my master in physics. And published my first paper as a second author. If everything goes to plan, I will be graduating next summer.

No the bugs are not obvious. A part of the code must find the maximum of a Fourier transform. The code does not take negative frequencies into account and there are index errors. So pretty hard to troubleshoot. And the class is not designed to learn them how to debug our code. That would take quite a lot of time of the students

Last week I visited the TA's office. I told him that my code ran fine on my pc and the computers at the university. He said, oke I'll see once more if the code will run on Windows instead on Linux. And two days ago he send me an email stating: the code still didn't run, so I won't give you points for it.
So today i've also send an email to the main teacher because I've got the feeling that the TA is not really going to give me any points.
Still hoping to get those damn point. It actually makes a difference. Now I have a 9.0 as my final grade and with those points I would have 9.5... -
@Autism420 I am studying physics, so the teachers probably don’t even know what git is, let alone that they’re gonna setup a docker system or something like that.
-
@ODXT thanks for the advice, I’ll certainly do that. Defiantly because there’s even a deadline attached to when the grades need the be complete.

Of you don’t want to pay that much for housing, I would recommend Almere. It is a city near Amsterdam. It only takes half an hour to go from Almere to Amsterdam by train or car. Furthermore Almere doesn’t have all the drunk and high tourists...
-
Couldn’t found any of the TA today. And also the main teacher was nowhere to be found... I’m going to try it again tomorrow...
-
But you’ll lose information on the curve. I guess that a Fourier transform is better.

2 and 3

It’s all about P=VI.

Well, guess it is not really useful for the average Dutch user I guess as most sites have a .nl-domain.
-
AMD also has the Spectre bug.
The updates for meltdown are actually not showing noticeable performance decreases. -
Save yourself a lot of trouble and don’t invest in crypto currency . You’re probably going to lose you money. It is all going to tumble down somewhere in the next year.
-
@ewpratten same here
-
Use Linux and all of your problems will be solved.
-
@linuxxx that’s awful, but very understandable.
-
500kps? What provider were you on? I’ve got like 120mbit/s on my phone (that I use as my main internet connection)...
-
It is an ant+ receiver. I am using it to link my stationary bike trainer to my laptop so I can use it for Zwift.
-
@scroach it is very slow because your applications runs within a Webbrowser.
-
@DjSall Dutch and German are a lot alike indeed.
-
😂😂 dat is echt zo dom.
-
@jappe
-
@dontPanic since I've learned about LaTeX, I can't do without.
-
@dontPanic I have a LaTeX fetish, do you have one too?
-
@linuxxx beste post ooit😂😂
-
@Cyanide what do you mean?
-
Het is de starapple hackathon in Ypenburg. Er werden gratis kaarteb verkocht, maar die zijn er volgensmij niet meer.

With @Jappe and @hahaha1234

I've wrote the comment: When the user anwsers the giving question with the wrong anwser, a question about culture will be asked.
I've add this comment just before the else to explain what the else clause is doing.
