@ScaryException The worst thing in operating systems is blocking wait in Unix like architecture ... I try to avoid that
-
@ScaryException I crashed afterwards and then rebooted
-
@h3kt1c0 It's a bad feature then. I was waiting for 8 hours ...
-
@Root never late for a pint of Guinness in Ireland 😂
-
Thanks man. You genuinely did something.
May I ask you to get in touch with me? -
@cannonau I hope they did that.
-
This looks really bad. Is this because of the recent SO trolls, or your questions?
-
The enjoyment is the path you follow to learn. #missionAccomplished

@kenogo
vegetarian: no meat, but milk and dairy products yes. Some parts of the world considers eggs as non vegetarian therefore those vegetarians don't eat egg. There are other vegetarians too (not eating specific vegetables)
vegan: vegetarian, but doesn't eat milk or any dairy products. If they wear animal products then it's called a vegan diet, and if they don't even wear animal products then it's "pure" vegan.
That's what I have learned. -
@chaoticdenim The interviews I've been asked me to first propose a solution and write code in a language of my choice. They generally tell try to keep the syntax as accurate as possible. I use C most of the time, when in doubt about function argument types and order or even the name, I always assume something or ask them. They don't mind this. I think it's just a way to see how comfortable you are with your language. But yes, if someone nit-picks on syntax, it's crap.
-
@scor I thank you on behalf of @kenogo

Absolutely, vim is not an IDE, it's a text editor. I like to customise it moderately as needed. I don't have IDE unless I'm working on a really big project or product. Also, there's nothing wrong on the other cool editors as well.
-
Well, I see other editor users bragging about fancy features in their editors which either is already there in vim and emacs or can be plugged in pretty early.
-
I mean, this is just basic problem solving, I don't get how this is a problem to write code in a piece of paper for this. If you know how to use a loop, it's done. We used to train in undergraduate and for interviews on paper and on white board. Then on text editors. Helps me a lot.

@queekusme As I mentioned. I keep on running a ping as the connection can be very unreliable sometimes. Switched to this window, a bit of scroll, and there it was there.
By the way, I don't need to wait for that long, I can just configure the packet interval and make it way faster. -
I don't think it's anything to do with the job, but problem solving and reversing a string is a pretty basic problem.
-
@Fast-Nop absolutely
-
@EaZyCode The network is unreliable there a ping always runs. Switched to check and there it was in the terminal. Although needed to scroll a bit.
-
@ScriptCoded I even know people who sent SIGTERM or even SIGKILL to vi, through a UI.
-
Sorry for my ignorance, almost never did CSS, isn't it margin right?
-
@ScriptCoded I see that you never use vi seriously. For me it's :wq!
-
@jespersh Immature user.
-
@Stuxnet 😂 good one.
