What happened?

@sariel Hahaha, nice one. You call me an idiot, because I implement a very simple authentication workflow (only email/password), plain without abstracting it as a gem. YMMD! Even DHH told in a podcast recently that its not a bad design decision to NOT use a gem for authentication... I really hope you don't work as a professional...
-
@KaosKermit I'll give it a try. Thank you!
-
@sariel hmmmm… why you need to build a gem for that?
-
@rarboot I did that last December. I could recommend it.

@sariel "In four more years, v1.8.7 will magically become sexy." You made my day!

Everyone fails because I’m not sales guy.

Tell me you like ribbons and we have a serious conflict :P

„But it works“
-
Thank you! I recently reviewed it - it’s garbage. It’s code and not nocode
-
Oh yeah, I had a Keyboard from Corsair. The support was horrible. Never ever again I’ll buy something from them.
-
Hmmmm… back then, when I was distrohopping. I’d like kde, xfce, the one from elementary os or plain gnome.
-
@EmberQuill This shows perfectly whats wrong with node-devs.

I thought you need to restart to take effect of a new kernel?
-
Hmmmm… Oracle? Are they still there ^^
-
Sounds very like my last work place. This was just a fake for the job description, to catch few applications. "Flexible work hours" next to "family".
-
That’s exactly how it works. You need to learn and you learn better if you find your solution by yourself. Only if you really don’t know better then ask. That way we learned how to code. Tbf 30 min per day is nice than you could ask your questions or get feedback for your code.

@Demolishun TBH I didn't used k8s because I was satisfied with docker. I think it's better if you want to create a cluster with different machines and containers. Thats possible with docker too -> docker swarm, but as I heard at this specific scenario is k8s way better
-
@IntrusionCM Wow oke, than I had luck ^^ I don't use windows :X and didn't experience any of the issues. To be fair I only use it since 2019
-
Nö hast nicht verpennt ^^ But good point with nginx. Currently I heavily use nginx, but just as proxy between containers. Maybe traefik is worth a try.
-
@IntrusionCM I don’t understand what you mean with licensing and further development.
Both things lies on the dev side. -
Nooooo, I think devs could handle that ^^

Oh yeah. Once I got a job where my manager told me I don’t get a raise without working more. I moved and got already 2 raise (plural?) with the same workload
