@Demolishun Of course. I'm replying to his honourable mention of PIC microprocessors.
-
@melezorus34 Use AVR, it's an even less fucked-up µC architecture. :)
-
I know that problem. Had a Logitech M705 doing that. There are YouTube videos on how to re-bend the spring inside the switch. It worked, but it's really fiddly. :)
-
If you are doing scientific stuff (statistics, visualization, ...), choose Python. I fell in love with it some years ago, and after having coded in C for the past 15 years, I don't ever want to go back. :)

Actually™, it should be minutes/WTF for this metric to be proportional to quality. Like these factory counter signs: “$n days without accident“ :D
-
@v9sport: Dude, first of all you definitely need to get a bigger monitor!
-
“You did it again!“ always works!
-
Try hterm, we use it all the time during development.
Windows version works nice, Linux version needs some extra dependencies tho.
The developer website seems dubious, but I assure you we've never had any problems with it. -
That look xD
-
@filthyranter Xamarin indeed looks interesting, I will definitely look into it! Could you suggest any other alternatives, as well? I really don't feel comfortable using Java and Android Studio, so any advice is welcome.
-
Developing for Android is hell. Would be fun they said...

Direct line of sight from boss to worker's screen. Damn, that office SUCKS.
-
Jraphics Interchange Format. Seems legit.

How about talking to her?
-
Maybe actually show us the faded out code sections? ^^

@nmunro I stopped reading the 'malbolge' wiki page after «ternary» integers» :'D
-
@kiwi989 Noted. I didn't want to offend anyone of the devs through a direct rant, so I declared a meta suggestion. :D

Alright, how about using a DFT algorithm for analyzing audio data? DFT is slow but much less complicated than FFT. Nevertheless, a successful implementation should impress your teacher sufficiently. You could get your hands on a cheap DSP board and then code the ADC driver and the actual DFT algo yourself in assembly. The spectrum (just a few bins, depending on the performance of your hardware) could be output via UART to a host computer or displayed using LED bar graphs. Dunno, I like stuff that blinks and does practical stuff. :D

Aha, good to know! But still, I don't want to disable the +1's completely but rather have them aggregated into a single notification.
-
Well, are they providing any specific hardware / eval boards, or is it completely up to you? In the latter case, maybe just get your hands on an Arduino, kill the stupid bootloader and start coding something simple like an LED flasher or PWM dimmer using AVR assembler. In case you're already experienced in hardware design, skip the Arduino and build your own µC circuit...
-
BrainFuck, obviously. (I'm serious; google it in case you've never heard of this programming language!)
-
Also, matching both passwords (new and confirmed) on the server side seems superfluous. (Didn't notice that earlier because I instantly rage'd about the GET request itself...) Could have done that right there in JS I guess.
-
@Jase I see what you did there
-
I guess the worst thing that could have happend is her throwing you a 500...
-
No. Way. Holy sh*t! ... I mean, at least it's https. But the URL will be in your browser history, right? Whoever designed this is a complete moron.
-
Maybe it's an XHTML printer...
